Our Story
Founded in 2011, The Love In Action Foundation has been serving our communities for over 14 years. A non-profit organization established to address the growing need for assistance for those facing financial, medical, or social challenges. For years, The Love In Action Foundation has lovingly provided affordable childcare while supporting the unique needs of children in the foster care system. As our mission continues to grow, we are expanding our reach to embrace veterans, women and families transitioning from unsafe or difficult domestic situations, and individuals seeking guidance and support toward independent living. Our goal is to walk alongside each person we serve, offering stability, dignity, and hope within a caring community.
Our Purpose
The Love In Action Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to providing 24/7 independent living support through both short-term and long-term residential options. We create a loving, nurturing, stable, and peaceful home-like environment where individuals and families feel supported, valued, and safe. Through compassion, community, and care, we walk alongside those in need as they rebuild, grow, and move toward lasting stability and independence.
Our Mission
At the heart of our work is a commitment to share and demonstrate God’s agape love by supporting each person’s spiritual, emotional, social, and financial journey. We believe that when people are nurtured and empowered, they are able not only to function, but to truly thrive within their communities.
We believe no one is meant to remain a victim. With love, support, and faith, individuals can rise as victorious overcomers. At The Love In Action Foundation, we model our belief that God’s love is the foundation of every action we take.
Our Founder
Tanya Holland
The Love In Action Foundation was founded and incorporated as a nonprofit organization on February 14, 2011, by Ms. Tanya Holland.
Ms. Holland is a devoted woman of faith who faithfully loves God and serves diligently as a leader within her local church. She is also a visually impaired, divorced mother of four adult children whose life journey reflects resilience, compassion, and unwavering purpose.
With a degree in Early Childhood Education and more than 30 years of experience caring for both disabled and non-disabled children and adults, Ms. Holland has dedicated her life to service. As a licensed foster care parent, she has opened her home and heart to over 25 children within the foster care system, providing stability, care, and unconditional love during some of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives.
As an overcomer of childhood trauma and adult adversity, Ms. Holland has always carried a deep desire not merely to help individuals survive, but to empower them to thrive. Her mission is rooted in supporting children and adults as they walk toward healing, wholeness, and the fulfillment of their God-given purpose. Through mental, emotional, and spiritual support, The Love In Action Foundation seeks to cultivate nurturing, loving, stable, and peaceful environments where individuals can grow and become productive, confident contributors within their communities.
After overcoming significant roadblocks, the Foundation is now entering a renewed season of growth in 2025–2026. The organization is actively preparing to expand its services to veterans, siblings within the foster care system, and women and their families who are transitioning toward a healthier, more stable way of living.
